Colloquy through CUEnet
The Concordia online Colloquy Program provides the education needed to be eligible for a Divine Call in the LCMS. Through colloquy, teachers become equipped to carry the Lord's name and His teachings with faithfulness to your school / center’s children and families.
Note that the Borland Colloquy Scholarship program, combined with additional District financial aid, can make colloquy a very affordable option for any teacher!
LEA & LCMS SCHOOL MINISTRY JOB OPPORTUNITIES
LEA has launched Lutheran Education Opportunity Center (LEOC) – a website for Lutheran ministries and workers to post job opportunities and resumes. To do so, go here.
Additionally, in the last few months, Synod’s School Ministry launched the Lutheran Career Board as a place for schools to post jobs and workers to post resumes. When you follow the aforementioned LCMS link, you should get a message about rostered workers utilizing the call process. Synod will also be vetting posts.
Church Worker Updates
Rostered commissioned ministers—teachers should update their information in the Church Worker Update (CWU) system at least annually. This includes completing the including Commissioned Minister Information Form (CMIF).

Continuing Education Resources (licensure)
New Teaching License Requirement
The legislature passed a provision in 2023 requiring all Tier 1-4 educators renewing their license to include professional development in the cultural heritage and contemporary contributions of American Indians, with particular emphasis on Minnesota Tribal Nations.
MDE, along with partners from the Tribal Nations and the urban American Indian Community in Minnesota, partnered to create a training program specifically designed for school district administrators, staff, and educators to meet the new License requirement.
Educators who complete the course can earn one continuing education unit (CEU) credit. For more information about the course and how to register, go here.

Esther Edwards currently teaches fourth grade at St. Lukes Lutheran School, Oviedo, FL. She began her career at Immanuel Lutheran School, Olivette, MO where she received the MACTE Outstanding Beginning Teacher Award and LEA's Outstanding New Elementary Teacher Award.
Michaela Harper currently teaches first grade at Pilgrim Lutheran School in Green Bay, WI. Michaela received LEA's 2022 New Lutheran Early Childhood Teacher Award.
The first 15-20 minutes of each Zoom session will be time for tips, thoughts, and ideas with the rest of the time devoted to questions, sharing, and encouraging one another. Included with the sessions is this google folder of the documents used in the sessions.
The sessions will run from 4:00 - 5:00 pm (Central) on the following dates:

Chapel Talks
Chapel Talks 2023-2024 is now online! With an overall theme of "Connected," based on John 15:1-5, Chapel Talks is a resource including Bible verses, speaking points, song suggestions, and application ideas for weekly chapel services throughout the school year. It can be used for students of all ages in Lutheran and Christian schools. Read more about Chapel Talks on the LCMS School Ministry page.
