Woodford Elected District President; Vice Presidents Elected

New District President Elected

We are pleased to announce that Rev. Dr. Lucas Woodford has been elected President of the Minnesota South District. On the second ballot, Woodford received 54% of the vote.

Rev. Dr. Woodford currently serves as senior pastor of Zion, Mayer. He is married to Becca and has six children.

From his convention bio: "My approach is to love the Lord, love people, and love our Lutheran theology, in that order. Where differences may remain among us, I hope to bring more light and less heat, and be a voice of reason that speaks with compassion and understanding, as together we consider what it means to be a 21st century confessional Lutheran church 'who desires all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth'" (1 Tim. 2:4).
