Key Responsibilities -
Worship & Rehearsal Leadership

• Lead vocals and direct weekly rehearsals for our team of dedicated volunteer musicians and vocalists.
• Select, arrange, and introduce music that thoughtfully blends solid theology with current musical styles.
• Collaborate closely with production and audio/video staff and volunteer teams to enhance the overall quality of our worship livestream.

Administration & Tech Management
• Manage team scheduling and communication via Planning Center, ensuring volunteers are prepared, valued, and supported.
• Ensure timely preparation and distribution of lyrics, chord charts, and practice tracks, while maintaining copyright compliance.
• Oversee a budget for guest musicians, coordinating paid opportunities for talented external performers.

Team Development & Recruitment
• Intentionally mentor, encourage, and recruit new musicians—including local college students, young adults, and new church members.

Qualifications & Skills -
Spiritual & Leadership Alignment

• A vibrant, authentic relationship with Jesus Christ and a lifestyle that reflects biblical principles for leadership.
• Natural ability to mentor, collaborate, and communicate effectively with diverse team members.

Musicality & Experience
• Demonstrated skill as an engaging vocalist and/or instrumentalist
• Ability to read music and comfortably utilize lead sheets and chord charts in both standard and Nashville notation.
• For standard applicants: 4+ years of experience serving on a church or ministry music team is preferred; prior experience leading rehearsals or small groups is a major plus.
• For intern/entry-level applicants: Active, enthusiastic participation in worship teams or campus ministries is highly encouraged.

Education & Technical Skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required; a Bachelor’s degree in music, worship arts, or equivalent is preferred.
• Familiarity with worship tech ecosystems (Planning Center, MultiTracks, Music Stand, Ableton, or similar DAWs) is highly preferred, though a strong willingness to learn is accepted.

Personnel
• This position is classified as contracted, non-exempt, part-time
• Salary $35 an hour, 15 hours per week.
