Worship Tech Director | Chanhassen
The Worship Technology Team Leader at Living Christ in Chanhassen is responsible for overseeing the technology Worship needs on Sunday mornings for the 8 and 9:30 am Worship Services. This includes the sanctuary audio board, ProPresenter computer, video cameras system and live stream computer. They are responsible for scheduling volunteers to help in each of those areas each Sunday. If volunteers are not available, the Team Leader would fill that spot. They are mindful of what is happening in each of those areas during the services and will troubleshoot any technology issues. The Team Leader is responsible for making sure all volunteers are trained as needed.
Desired Qualification: Knowledge of the audio board and ability to learn the sanctuary/live stream technology equipment. Ability to lead, train and work with the tech team volunteers.
Schedule and anticipated time commitments (4-6 hours a week)
Every Week:
Sunday’s 7:15-11 am
Monthly scheduling of volunteers
Provide training as needed for volunteers.
Occasionally: Help mobilize volunteers to run the technology needs for special events requiring the sanctuary technology (funerals, weddings, large programs & events).
Responsibilities/Duties
1. Set up for 8 am Worship Service: Each Sunday power up the sanctuary audio board, prepare all mics needed, turn on the video camera system, turn on the computer, launch the ProPresenter program for the appropriate service and turn on the sanctuary projectors. Test the mics and remote clicker to make sure everything is running correctly.
2. Prepare for the 9:30 am Worship Service: Between services, work with reJOYce to do a sound check as they prepare for the service, pull up the 9:30 Worship service on ProPresenter, turn on the live stream computer and make sure it is ready for the live stream broadcast.
3. Oversee volunteers: Make sure all volunteers are in place when needed and fill them in on any special needs for the service. If a volunteer is not available that morning, ask another trained person to fill in. If no one is available, fill in the needed spot.
4. Troubleshooting: If a technology issue happens during the service, seek to resolve the issue. If you are not able to resolve the issue, determine the appropriate course of action. Notify staff of any issues that need to be addressed following the service.
5. Shut down after Worship Service: After the 9:30 am Worship Service, make sure the microphones are collected, put away and take out batteries to be recharged. Turn off audio board, computer, video system, projectors, and Live Stream computer.
6. Scheduling: Monthly set up a rotating schedule for the 8 & 9:30 am tech volunteers for the areas of sanctuary audio board, ProPresenter computer, video system (9:30 am only) & live stream operator (9:30 am only). Recruit new volunteers as needed.
7. Training: Make sure current and new volunteers are properly trained. Set up additional training times if needed.
8. Special Events: If available, serve as the tech lead for special events such as funerals, weddings and other large events in the sanctuary.
