Technical Arts Specialist | Woodbury

The Technical Arts Specialist and Central Services Videographer for Woodbury Lutheran Church (WLC) will be responsible for the following:

2. The Technical Arts Specialist / Central Services Videographer will have the following Job Responsibilities:
● Campus Technical Arts Leadership
a. Provide weekly technical leadership and support for worship services at an assigned campus
b. Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor volunteer tech teams (audio, video, lighting, presentation)
c. Maintain and steward campus production equipment, ensuring readiness, cleanliness, and reliability
d. Collaborate with worship leaders and pastoral staff to execute creative, distraction-free services
e. Align campus production practices with WLC multisite systems, standards, and workflows
● Team & Volunteer Development
a. Participate in weekly Technical Directors Team meetings and planning sessions
b. Assist in training volunteers and cross-campus production interns
c. Contribute to the continuous improvement of production systems, processes, and execution
d. Provide encouragement, mentorship, and spiritual leadership to serve teams
● Central Services Videography, Editing & Podcast Support
a. Film and edit video content for worship services, testimonies, announcements, and digital storytelling
b. Collaborate with the Communications team on sermon series videos, event promotions, and social media content
c. Capture creative footage of WLC ministries and events while maintaining a consistent visual style
d. Operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment for on-location and in-studio shoots
e. Organize and archive media assets for easy access by Technical Arts and Communications teams
f. Assist with podcast production as needed
● Multisite Support & Large Events
a. Serve as a flexible technical resource to support multiple campuses
b. Assist the Technical Director with system rollouts, troubleshooting, and special projects
c. Provide on-site technical support for large-scale and outdoor events (e.g., Outdoor Worship, Tree Lighting, WALi Summit)
d. Support livestreaming, video capture, and technical coordination across venues
e. Perform other duties as assigned by the Technical Director

• Pursuing job-specific training and skill development as needed

5. Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in live production, technical arts, or video production (church or comparable setting)
• Proficiency with audio, video, lighting, and presentation systems
• Experience with video editing software (Adobe Premiere preferred)
• Familiarity with ProPresenter and Planning Center Online
• Flexible availability including Sundays, midweek rehearsals, and special events

6. Work Schedule
• 30 hours per week; Sundays required with flexible weekday hours for filming, editing, and events
• Salaried position, compensation commensurate with experience
• Reports to the Technical Director
