Discipleship Administrative Assistant | Woodbury

The Woodbury Lutheran Church Discipleship Administrative Assistant will assist all Discipleship Team Staff members across all campuses of Woodbury Lutheran Church (WLC) helping to fulfill Woodbury Lutheran Church’s Mission: “to follow Jesus Christ, worshiping and growing as His disciples, serving and telling others, so that all may know Him as Savior and Lord.”

The Discipleship Administrative Assistant will be responsible for the following:

Job Responsibilities:
* Planning Center and database management: registrations, creating and helping manage workflows, list management, group creation, check-ins, etc.
*
Assist with budget tracking, book payments for classes,
* Visual design and layout for postcards, posters, training materials, etc.
* Printing Production for all areas, photocopying, mailing, etc.
* Event Support – for Event Admin
* Database & Registration Management – for Background checks, Registration creation, check-ins, lists
* Assist ministry staff in maintaining accurate records of groups, leaders, and participants across multiple ministries (Discipleship, Local Reach, NextGen).
* Track participation metrics and provide reports for leadership as requested
* Purchasing & Financial Admin Support – for Purchasing and finance assistance
* Short-term Missions teams support...travel research and logistics, insurance, team trainings, tracking finances etc.
* Work with other church departments (e.g., Communications, Facilities, Worship) to ensure seamless execution of events and communications.

* Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong administrative, organizational, and time-management skills.
* Self-starter, quick learner, detail oriented, understanding of what is needed and can make it happen
* IT skills (MS 365, Planning Center database skills, Canva or other design software)
* Reliability and discretion: you will often learn of confidential matters

* Set and measure goals for personal growth and job performance on quarterly basis
* Obtain job-specific training/certification as required

Required Qualifications:
* AA degree, Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a related field (Ministry, Education, Leadership)
* 1-3 years of work experience in a professional setting desired

Work Schedule:
* 25 hours per week; flexible schedule with some mandatory meetings.

Hourly position, with competitive benefit package (need salary range or hourly pay range here per state law)
