Job Overview
Zion Early Childhood Center in Hopkins, MN is seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Assistant Teacher to join our Christian education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves promoting the Christian development of preschool-aged children, ensuring they are prepared for their journey ahead.

Responsibilities
• Model a Christian attitude in interactions with children, families, and colleagues.
• Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction among children.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques and behavior management strategies.
• Provide individualized support for children with special needs through early intervention strategies.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and share resources for curriculum development.
• Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods as needed to meet diverse learning styles.

Experience
• A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential.
• Strong skills in classroom management, and child development principles are required.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Must be able to collaborate with and work well with others.
• Certified in First Aid and Infant/Child CPR
