Heavenly Father, thank you for sending Your Son to earth as a baby so many years ago. Thank You that He paid the punishment for my sins by dying on the cross. And thank You that He rose again to prove that death was truly defeated. I place my trust in Him to be my Savior. Guide me through the dark times of my life and give me courage to live for You. In Jesus’ precious name. Amen.
Gracious Lord, there are so many “out there” who don’t know about You, about Your love for them, or even that You died that they might have life, and have it to the full. There are so many “out there” who haven’t heard of You, who don’t “get” You, and who, therefore, don’t know what they’re missing because You are not a part of their life. There are so many “out there” who are investing in temporal things rather than eternal things, who are storing up earthly treasures instead of riches that will last forever in heaven, and who are therefore experiencing a huge “God-shaped” hole in their hearts and souls. Use us, dear Lord, especially during this coming Easter season, as Your instruments to bring You and Your Good News into their lives. In Your Name we ask it. Amen.
Almighty God the Father, through Your only-begotten Son Jesus Christ You have overcome death and opened the gate of everlasting life to us. Grant that we, who celebrate with joy the day of our Lord’s resurrection, may be raised from the death of sin by Your life-giving Spirit; through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
