Dean Nadasdy is president of the Minnesota South District of The Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod. He has served churches in Woodbury, Minn., Eugene, Ore., and Edina, Minn. He has been vice president of the Minnesota South District and third vice president of the LCMS. He has taught as associate professor of practical theology at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, holding the Gregg H. Benidt Memorial Chair in Homiletics and Literature; he has also lectured at seminaries in Latvia and Hungary. Nadasdy has written Bible studies, pastoral resources, and youth-oriented outreach materials. He has also contributed to several Christian drama collections.

Mark joined the District staff in April, 2010. As Executive Assistant to the District President, Mark will handle communications in the absence of and at the request of the District President, conduct research as directed, perform preliminary work as part of the call process, manage the District’s new pastor orientation program, represent the District President on the district Seminarian Interview Committee, as well as other duties as assigned by the District President.  Mark is married to Gail. They have two children, Heather (Doug), Eric (Kelly), and four grandchildren.

Peter joined the District Staff in April of 2005. As Assistant for Missions, Peter’s responsibilities include sharing and promoting God’s Mission in the Minnesota South District by developing and carrying out a District mission strategy, mission education, and communication of the District mission program to the people and congregations of the Minnesota South District. The Assistant for Missions assists congregations to see themselves as Mission Outposts to their communities, and provides supervision and encouragement for missionary personnel and District subsidized ministries. Peter is married to Kathy. They have three children, David (Susan), Jenny, and Daniel.

Mike joined the District staff in June, 2008 and serves as the Assistant to the President for Missional Formation. Mike had 26 years of experience as a Lutheran educator and administrator prior to joining the staff. He has served as teacher and administrator in elementary schools, a high school, parish administration and in many other roles of parish education. His years of experience and training in church administration and school accreditation helps as he encourages church leaders to think, plan and act based on the Great Commission. Mike and his wife, Jeni, live in Mound, MN.

Kurt has served as Vice President of the LCEF since fall 1998. Kurt's duties include loan consultations, analysis and approval of LCEF loans, working with delinquent loan accounts, and providing demographic services to member congregations. Kurt also serves in an advisory role to the District Finance Committee.

Joyce began serving as District Archivist in September, 2010. She also serves on the District Seminarian Interview Committee. Joyce is very active in the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and has held many offices in her society, zone, conference, and from 1998-2002 she served as President of the Minnesota South District LWML. Joyce and her husband, Dick, reside in Eagan and are members of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Richfield. The District Archives, located on the Concordia University Campus contain records, materials, and documents relating to the life and work of our congregations and the Minnesota South District through the years.
