2017 Fall Pastors Conference
October 9-10, 2017
Verizon Center, Mankato
Dear Pastors of the Minnesota South District:
With joy and anticipation I invite you to our 2018 Fall Pastoral Conference on Monday and Tuesday, October 9-10, at the Verizon Center in Mankato. Our conference this year carries the theme “Pastoral Integrity,” and emphasizes the necessity for purity in the heart and life of a pastor. The conference finds its theme in 2 Timothy 2:15: “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.”
Our keynote presenter Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning is Dr. David Peter, Chair, Practical Department, Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. His two presentations will help us look at the ethical challenges we face as pastors and how to overcome them with the grace God provides. Also offered during the conference are two rounds of five interest centers designed to go deeper into the topic of pastoral integrity. Pastors from our district will lead these interest centers. Click here to read the proposed agenda, as well as the keynote speaker and interest center descriptions.
Please note that once again we will gather for a reception and banquet Monday night, the cost of which is included in your registration fee. This will be a laid-back time of joy, celebrating our life together in ministry. It will also be an opportunity to welcome the new pastors in our midst and to celebrate milestones in years of service.
I remind you that this is a required pastoral conference. If you cannot attend, please send an excuse to Rev. Bill Otte, Secretary of the District (firstname.lastname@example.org or 909 18th Ave. NE, Rochester, MN 55906). All active pastors are asked to pay the registration fee, whether they attend or not. You can use the form below to register for the conference or pay the required fee. If you would like a paper registration form, please contact Debra Connolly (click to email, or call 952-435-2550).
May this conference affirm and strengthen your faithfulness and fruitfulness in ministry.
Your servant in Christ,
Dean Nadasdy, President
